So today…for free….Mid American came and did a home audit. Has anyone else ever done of these before? We didn't really know what all they would be doing.
They checked the attic insulation. We have 12" of insulation…more than we thought! In fact…they only recommend 16"…and he said that the difference would take 19 years to recoup the cost of adding through money savings. So…we won't have to do that. We thought we would be doing that sometime in the next two years.
And….they gave us all this stuff for free:
Plus 11 florescent lightbulbs

ReplyDeleteWe just had our a few weeks ago. We knew what to expect since we had one done a few years ago at our old house!! Love the free stuff and we only have 4" of insulation!!!! We knew we probably needed some! The 70% rebate is wonderful too!!!
