Challenged to be Content

I like to 'blog surf' and follow several blogs. This post (http://moneysavingmom.com/2010/02/how-buying-less-can-set-you-free.html) caught my attention this week.

Basically her main point was

More Things = Less Money + Less Time

It was a good reminder for me. I am not necessarily a shopper…and don't really buy tons of clothes, etc. But other things are a temptation for me. Sometimes my desire to always be prepared for something I may need leads me to 'stock up' on STUFF. I find myself thinking…" but it's on sale!" when really my question should be…"do I need this?"

Lord, help me to find my contentment and satisfaction in You alone. Help me to desire Your Word more than my own. Help me to refrain from buying stuff and instead use Your money to support Your work.
