PROVERBS

I have been reading through Proverbs lately for my devotions. There are so many short, simple, clear....but very challenging verses. I will post a few that have jumped out at me and been good reminders of what God wants from  me.

Proverbs 20: 30 There is no wisdom, no insight, no plan
       that can succeed against the LORD.
3 To do what is right and just
       is more acceptable to the LORD than sacrifice.

Proverbs 19:  20 Listen to advice and accept instruction,
       and in the end you will be wise.

Proverbs 17:  14 Starting a quarrel is like breaching a dam;
       so drop the matter before a dispute breaks out.

 27 A man of knowledge uses words with restraint,
       and a man of understanding is even-tempered.
 28 Even a fool is thought wise if he keeps silent,
       and discerning if he holds his tongue

Proverbs 16: 24 Pleasant words are a honeycomb,
       sweet to the soul and healing to the bones.

Of course, there are many  more, but these are a few that have challenged me recently.
